More Komodo Love
So a while ago, I requested syntax highlighting for CoffeeScript in Komodo. A bug was opened. A dude was put on the case. Not much happened.
I thought.
Not long ago, I updated the bug to reflect the fact that CoffeeScript is going to be baked-in to Rails 3.1.
Four hours later, the bug is resolved. Apparently, they’d built CoffeeScript highlighting into Komodo 7.0, and back-ported it into 6.1 because of my comment on this bug.
Keep on bein’ awesome, Komodo.
EDIT: For those who were curious, the Bug ID is 89419.

AuthorA damn fine point. Updating the post now.

AuthorBTW, thanks! I had been working on writing one myself and it’s not really such a fun task.

AuthorI’ve just been telling Komodo the file was Javascript, and then turning off CodeIntelligence on a per-file basis.
It’s not NICE, but it WORKS. Sorta.

AuthorIs there a simple way (i.e. short of checking out and building Komodo Edit) to get the backported 6.1 build (which is presumably more stable than the 7 alpha)?

AuthorSorry, none that I know of – but try emailing ActiveState support. They’re usually really good about going out of their way for their customers!

AuthorThanks Dan, I’ll update this if I get a useful response.
